Our preparations for the year 3 and 4 autumn term production are well underway. On Friday afternoons we have been rehearsing many songs from the Second World War.
This week Mrs Jones, Mrs Gill and Mrs Armitage took our wonderful 'Scotland' project with them to Madrid. The Supersonic Sausage Dogs worked to a tight deadline to create their part of the UK travel brochure. It included interesting facts about places to visit and features some of our wonderful tartan designs.
In numeracy we have extended our work on place value and counting in tens from any two or three digit number. Next week we will be starting on addition calculations.
No homework for the Supersonic Sausage Dogs this weekend! Unfortunately, the apostrophe work Mrs Stott had prepared was hidden between some books! Apologies! It will be sent home on Monday instead and collected on Friday. In the meantime, children can continue to practise for their mental maths and spelling homework.
Our home readers progress chart is up to 90 books. We still have 210 books to read before we reach our Christmas target. Please could parents promote reading at home and ensure that books are changed every Friday.
Next Friday, we are planning a show and tell. Some children have already brought interesting WW2 information books and artefacts in. If your child has something related to our project that they wish to share, please send them in on Friday morning.
Many thanks :)
